British 100% Wool Pillow - Low Fill

British 100% Wool Pillow - Low Fill

A good night's sleep begins with the right pillow.

Our low-fill 100% British wool pillows are crafted in the UK from the finest British white wool, chosen for its softness, breathability and natural comfort. Featured in the Daily Mail, these pillows offer an exceptional natural sleeping experience. If you are not already a convert to the huge benefits of sleeping under nature's best insulator, see our "Why Wool" facts page.

The wool has been double scoured to remove lanolin and debris. After this process, the wool is inspected again, and any remaining flecks of natural vegetable matter (or “VM”) are picked out by hand to ensure cleanliness and quality. The double scouring also reduces the lanolin content and any residual “sheepy” smell, leaving the wool soft, fluffy and ready to use. These pillows have the lowest VM count of any similar product on the market.

The wool is carded, a mechanical process that disentangles, cleans and intermixes fibres to produce a continuous web. Once carded, the wool is just a few mm thick, so it is then cross-folded (layered) to achieve the required weight. A soft pillow may have approximately 20 layers, while a firm pillow will have 100-120 layers of carded wool.

Each pillow is finished with a high-quality 220-thread-count cotton casing and a lovely piped edge.
