Sexto Sheepskin
Our gorgeous sexto size British sheepskins are extra large, with a soft and silky longwool fleece. Generously sized with a thick, dense fleece, these rugs make for a wonderfully luxurious accent piece which brings texture and comfort to any room.
These beautiful sheepskins are hand-made in Devon from six British sheepskins. Choose from our gorgeous undyed natural white or our dyed sheepskins available in Champagne and Jet Black.
- Size: Approx. 164 x 180cm (64 x 70 inches)
- Composition: 100% sheepskin
- Origin: Champagne and Jet Black sheepskins sourced from New Zealand; Natural White made in England
We try to keep the Natural White in stock. For other colours, please allow two to four weeks to have these hand-made for you, as it takes time to carefully match the individual sheepskins for fibre, handle, thickness and colour.
Product Care
To clean, take it outside and give it a good shake or beating, and brush with our bamboo sheepskin brush. Brush regularly in situ to help maintain and bring out the best in the wool fibres.
Unlike most fibres, wool naturally repels dirt, so cleaning should be very infrequent. If required, we recommend spot cleaning or professional cleaning, but they can be carefully machine washed (subject to machine size) if needed at up to 30℃ on a wool program using wool-recommended detergent.
Allow to dry naturally.

Origin & Sustainability
Our Natural White sheepskins are produced in Devon by Britain's oldest established sheepskin tannery, which has been working in Buckfastleigh on the edge of Dartmoor for over 200 years. Local sheepskins are carefully selected and tanned using traditional techniques handed down through generations of skilled craftsmen.
Our Champagne and Jet Black sheepskins are produced in New Zealand by a heritage maker established in 1879, drawing on over a century of tanning expertise. The maker operates with the environment in mind, continually seeking ways to minimise energy use, reduce waste and make responsible choices across their production. By choosing this sheepskin, you are supporting traditional craftsmanship using natural fibres while investing in a sustainable product designed to withstand both time and trends.
Natural sheepskin is a renewable and biodegradable material. Our gorgeous rugs are made to withstand the test of time and trends, ensuring that they remain a staple décor piece for years to come.
